Cabadbaran Today

Last January 7, 2011, the City of Cabadbaran had its blessing and inauguration of its newly-renovated Senior Citizens Center. The said ceremony was attended by no less than Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III who represented the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Hon. Jejomar C. Binay, Cong. Ma. Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba of the 2^nd District of Agusan del Norte, Governor Erlpe John M. Amante, Vice Governor Enrico R. Corvera, some members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, City Mayor Dale B. Corvera, City Vice Mayor Harris Glenn D. Puyot and the entire membership of the Sangguniang Panlungsod together with some officials from Agusan del Norte municipalities, the 31 barangay captains and most importantly the presidents and senior citizens coming from the thirty one (31) barangays of the city headed by its Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines or FSCAP President, Mr. Eufrocino C. Abuzo and Organization of Senior Citizens Association or OSCA Chairperson, Ms. Gerlina G. Pahuay.

Once again, city and private employees, non-government and civil society organizations have gathered at the Rizal Park to commemorate the 115^th Death Anniversary of National Hero, Dr.Jose P. Rizal. The theme: “Commemorating Rizal’s 115^th Death Anniversary” highlighted the hero’s contribution in earning the independence of our country from foreign oppression.
